If you are just looking to change the border style of a shape, you can do that by selecting "border" under shape properties, and then choosing the color on the box to the right. You would have to do this for each line, so I would recommend using the option above for changing line color in possible, but you can do it this way with conditional formatting if you prefer. Note: the more uniform the background the easier it is to knock out. Here is a full post about using Instant Alpha if you are unfamiliar with how it works in Comic Life 3. Again, this works because I have set "VP Product" as my if condition for a red color line, so once I input the custom data of the role > "VP Product" for that line, it changes the color. It’s super easy: select your photo, click the Instant Alpha icon in the menu and then click and drag on your image to select the portions you want to knock out. Use Color Overlay layer effect: With shape layer selected go to Layer > Layer Style > Color Overlay. Double click on shape layer thumbnail then set color in Color Picker dialog which will open. If you do want to use conditional formatting for the lines, you will need to link the custom data to each line you want it to apply to. I have provided a gif below on how you can do this for one line, a group of lines, or all the lines on your doc. You can simply chose the line color on the toolbar at the top.
